    Just to put this in some perspective: the Harper government in Canada reportedly sent $32 million in assistance; by contrast, it spent close to $1billion on “security” (read: suppression of dissent, harassment, abuse, and arbitrary detention of protesters) for the G8/G20 meetings held in Ontario this past June.
