Here’s a good trick to work:
1. Communicate to you human companion that you are capable of a very desirable behavior.
2. Make sure any training period instituted to ‘train’ you to produce the behavior involves giving you lots and lots of treats.
Result: lots of treats for you.
Downside: silly video boasting of training you. Note: your facial expression can make it clear where your heart is.

My cat will hug like that, much of the time, if you pick him up. Sometimes he’ll also whisper sweet nothings in your ear, too. His sweety act helps him get away with a lot other times!
