  1. Nice try, but way off!!

    Hint: Should a university library try to be like amazon.com? Aside from the money issue, of course. That is, adopting one of their policies and actually funding something would be an entirely different matter.

  2. I’m guessing it has to do with the rating. Why should the hoi polloi get to tell me whether the book is good or not?

  3. I dunno, maybe Kant should go up against, say, John Grisham and learn how to improve his prose and entice more readers. He could certain have written better….

  4. Agreed, Calypso, too many of these old f–ks are too wordy and out of date.

    If the library is willing to give a platform for everyone’s opinion, who are these profs to say some reactions get an F?
