  1. jender, be charitable. maybe you’re parsing it wrongly: maybe what the author means is that most of the people were such that they were both women and children. womenchildren. …ie, girls. …except that ‘woman’ seems to mean something like ‘adult female’. so, maybe teenage girls. you mustn’t be quick to jump to conclusions (about womenchildren).

    “In total, the four graves contain 13 bodies, eight children aged six months to nine years and five adults aged 25 to 60. ”

    did they even have teenagers 46000 years ago? ;)
