I wonder how other religions or fomerly religious people might try to place symbols of inclusion in a traditional ceremony. Perhaps by starting with the reflections in that linked article.
Perhaps it’s jet lag, but I keep thinking that Christianity has such a long history of all these men going around in elaborate gowns; surely we can do something with that.
