Earmites! I am not kidding. Long story-I was lied to, but one of my rescues was not seen by a vet, and she made a similar sound.
Once she was finally cured she still wailed, but less.
Animals make sounds we may find amusing, but often it is a sound of distress.
Not a personal attack, for I certainly didn’t know any better either.
