Routledge proudly announces…

We are thrilled to announce that A Philosophy of Computer Art, by Dominic Lopes and The Routledge Companion to Nineteenth Century Philosophy, edited by Dean Moyar, have been selected as Choice Outstanding Academic Titles for 2010. Below, you will find more information about these titles, and links to order a complimentary e-inspection copy or to recommend the book to your librarian

.

Of the thirty distinguished authors in Moyan’s book, two are women.

This not my field. Are there facts about the area that could explain this?

  1. Are you referring to Dean Moyar’s _Routledge Companion to Nineteenth Century Philosophy_? (Without the “Nineteenth Century” part in there, it looks like you’re saying philosophy isn’t your field. Own it, jj!)

I don’t believe there is any robust data out there on gender demographics by subfield. I am mightily impressed with the Re-Reading the Canon series out of Penn State U Press, however, and suggest that the editors of and contributors to the 19th-c relevant volumes would be desirable contributors to future Routledge Companions!
