Petition to Psychology Today

Yesterday, Stoat posted about a truly appalling racist, sexist psychology today article. Now there’s a petition to sign.

On May 15, 2011, Psychology Today contributor, Satoshi Kanazawa posted an article entitled “Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women?” (now removed from their website, but reblogged here). We demand that the Psychology Today editorial board publicly account for how and why this racist and sexist article was allowed to be published on the Psychology Today website, and take transparent steps to prevent this from happening in the future.

  1. Good grief! What PD thinking in allowing a posting such as Satoshi Kanazawa’s article? I’ve always expected better of PD and something must be done to preclude such postings in the future. A pre-posting review and approval process perhaps? I do hope you do not already have such a process and yet allowed this to slide through.

(I do not wish to be on any email list.)

  2. Kanazawa’s at it again? Is that guy even a real doctor? If so, somebody really needs to pull his funding. Every time I read his BS he’s going on about how women are all supposed to look like Sailor Moon and all the accompanying MRA crap.

Get him off the net already!
