The NY Times has a series of video interviews here title “Philosophers Speak”. So far, the only philosophers speaking are men.

Must be coincidence.
I just sent a query to the blog associated with the students/filmmakers to see if they have plans to include women philosophers and philosophers of color:

Not just men. White men.
The answer is there–

The site “Thinking Aloud” (see link in 2 above) includes four women: Babette Babich, Jessica Benjamin, Svetlana Boym, and Kate Soper. In contrast, there are 13 men on their site. It appears that some of the videos for the women have not been posted to Thinking Aloud yet. I wonder how decisions were made about which interviews to post at the NY Times. I wonder if all of them will be posted.
Perhaps we should be pleased, insofar as the NYT seems to consider* Ayn Rand a premier female philosopher.
* Based on past articles, to be fair.
