  1. BTW, Avery was on the first of the Animal Planet series. You can download it from iTunes if you want to see how it turned out. As I remember, Avery was given lots more areas where he could run about and do his own thing, which involved climbing, among other things. And I think the owners were instructed to play with him more. Play is one of Jackson Gallaxy’s standard recommendations. The idea is in part to exhaust the cat. He also recognizes that cats like to get up high, so enabling that is a big thing too.
