  1. Something odd is going on. We seem to have lost lots, and maybe all, our youtube links! If you go to youtube and search for “the wall pink floyd” you shoulf find some great videos.

  2. The CBS News/60 minutes interview/story/video clip at the link below is okay (it certainly covers the recent/current Roger Waters The Wall Live tour and also echoes the content of some recent interviews/documentaries):

Water’s three solo studio albums (The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, Radio K.A.O.S., and Amused to Death) are really good too, perhaps up there with The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, and The Final Cut.

  3. Just to be clear (about what may well be obvious), the YouTube clip in the main post above is not from any performances of Roger Water’s The Wall Live. I think the YouTube clip above is just one version of a “music video” for Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 (from/for the 1979 Pink Floyd album The Wall). This version may come straight from the 1982 film based on the album (which includes its own version of certain music videos). I cannot recall. Can anyone confirm?

The original group performed The Wall from 1980-1981. Waters led a spectacular performance in 1990: The Wall – Live in Berlin (before 350,000-450,000 people). Waters has performed his recent/current tour, The Wall Live, before as many as 400,000 people. This show, after three years of planning, includes a three story high wall that is 140 yards long; the wall, for instance, was higher in 1990 but not 1980-81. The CBS interview/video clip in comment #4 above includes some scenes from The Wall Live performances and contains some brief discussion of them. (Interested readers/listeners might want to YouTube search for “The Wall Live” followed by 2010, 2011, and/or 2012.)
