Cats can be jerks:
One could see these vignettes to show a meanness in the feline personality. Or one could see it as celebrating cats’ ability to invent new ways of coping with old situations.

ah, the only kitties in there even arguably being jerks are the one who pushes the other kitty down the stairs, and the one that gets the dog trying to come in the cat door (which, anyway, hey!)
There is being a jerk, and then there is eating paper.
In some of those “innocent” capers, I suspect the cat is trying to be a jerk. Do they really need to clear all the surfaces? Or to turn cups over? Or is it done for reasons that in a human would argue jerkiness?
And toilet paper! At least they’re not into tampons.
And then there’s the cat who uses the doorstop to send messages. That could easily be quite jerky.
