Or Celebrate International Women’s Day…

With some philosophical radio!

A reader writes:

Happy International Women’s Day! In case you haven’t come across it already and your readers are interested, I wanted to bring to your attention this radio interview from last Sunday. It includes the following

– an account of a post-war period in which men were absent from philosophy because of WWII, and Elizabeth Anscombe, Philippa Foot, Iris Murdoch, and Mary Midgley emerged as leading philosophers

– an interview with Midgley herself about her experiences in this period

– using this as a springboard for Fiona Jenkins to discuss climate issues and what it’s like for women in philosophy at the moment.
