  1. I don’t know who about half of those people are, but in general the photo-shopped ones look a bit creepy to me. I think that some of this sort of development, though, has to do with higher resolution images- detail that wasn’t visible in the past in photos is now, I think, and this is at least in part an attempt to deal with that. Where I really see it is in photos of athletes who seem much more muscularly defined than in the past. Some of that is surely true- better work-out plans and the like- but I think some of it is just much better resolution images that make all sorts of details visible in photos that wasn’t before.

  2. Yeah, I have nothing insightful to add, but Angelina Jolie looks way hotter pre-photoshop.
